I love seeing prairie grasses dance with the wind on a late summers day. “Prairie Dusk” was created with oil based ink colors layered and worked into a piece of plexi-glass that I had scratched a prairie grass design into. Final ink colors were delicately applied and/or removed “a la poupée” with the image then being transferred onto dampened paper by manually running it through a press. This type of work is known as a Monoprint, which is a unique image created from a plate or other matrix that has the potential to print in multiple. It is a repeatable image that is made unique by the addition of drawing, or layering ink colors, applying chine colle or patterning.
This 4.25 x 4" artwork is matted to fit an 8 x 10" frame. Price is $60 matted. Framing, taxes and shipping are extra.
